About the work:
The title “Eleutheria” comes from ancient Greece and means freedom. This idea is the key to reading both the composition and the author’s inscription on the base:
(What does this world rush after so boldly / Vanity, hypocrisy, and a life beyond one’s means / You will not find happiness in matter / Nor see a smile in the mirror / When you drift blindly with the current / And have no time for anything)
The sculpture asks about the price of constant haste, materialism, and a life subordinated to external expectations. “Eleutheria” is both a study of the human body and movement, and a symbolic reflection on the human condition — the longing for independence, the need for meaning, and the search for freedom in the contemporary world.
